Over all these years Skyward's 3D printing technology has been kept very quiet, for internal use and some of our corporate clients only. At the start of COVID-19, our team decided to switch gears and by utilizing our vast experience and technology to help the public during this unprecedented crisis. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, MDF and the Australian Government, we locally designed and manufactured Fiji’s first locally made PPE Face Shields.
Our Skyward Research and Development team developed the first 3D printed PPE Face Shield prototype in a matter of hours after being contacted by MDF and the Ministry of Health for support with this on-going crisis. Within a day, we had prototype designs being tested by medical staff under the Ministry of Health. After careful testing and feedback to our team, we were given the green-light to begin production for the first 1000 units which was later donated to the Ministry of Health for Fiji's front line workers.
Today, Skyward continues to produce Face Shields today for both domestic and regional consumptions across the South Pacific in a continued effort to support the public need for Personal Protective Equipment.
